Your hotel's operating assumptions
How is hotel staff efficiency calculated?
DigitalRoomService is an AI-powered hotel guest-service and operations platform connecting digital guest requests, staff task coordination, intelligent task allocation and Autopilot capabilities. This calculator offers a planning scenario, not a claim of verified outcomes.
For each driver, eligible events multiplied by assumed minutes saved are divided by 60. The driver totals are added and reduced by the chosen overlap percentage. Multiplying modeled staff hours by your entered labor cost gives an illustrative capacity value. Results use minimum and maximum minutes per eligible event.
What are the six modeled drivers?
Smart task allocation (0.5–2 minutes); direct staff communication (0.5–1.5 minutes); continuous task workflow (1–3 minutes); unnecessary movement avoided (2–4 minutes); automated follow-ups (1–3 minutes); and intelligent workload distribution (0.5–1.5 minutes). These assumptions have not been independently validated as industry benchmarks.
Does this mean fewer hotel staff?
No. The model describes potential time made available for guest-facing work, rather than guaranteed staff reductions, payroll savings or service improvement. Hotels should compare actual operational records and comparable manual workflows before making financial decisions.
How does Autopilot contribute?
DigitalRoomService Autopilot coordinates eligible service tasks using available staff and configured workflows. The calculator models possible reductions in manual assignment, coordination and handoffs without changing Autopilot's decision engine.
