FREE PEAK-HOUR HOTEL TOOL

Hotel Guest Request Capacity Planner

Estimate how many guest requests arrive during a busy hour, how much work they create, and whether the available team has enough handling capacity.

Private by design: Values are processed in this browser. The tool does not upload hotel financial or operational inputs. All examples and thresholds are user-editable planning assumptions, not verified industry benchmarks.

METHOD AND LIMITATIONS

How the numbers are calculated

01 · Daily requests

Rooms × occupancy fraction × requests per occupied room.

02 · Busiest-hour workload

Daily requests × peak-hour share × average handling minutes.

03 · Team's hourly capacity

Eligible staff × 60 minutes × productive share.

04 · Coverage gap

Workload minus available capacity. Additional worker equivalents = ceiling of workload ÷ productive minutes per worker, less staff already available; never below zero.

This is a work-minute capacity model, not a queueing simulation or a guarantee that guests receive responses by a specific time. Response time depends on arrival bursts, routing, priority, skills, travel between floors and task variability. Staff should validate conclusions against real operations data.

Next step: Read the peak-hour staffing method, then use the broader staffing calculator for housekeeping and desk coverage. Discover how the Command Center supports request visibility.

This planner estimates workload capacity, not response-time percentiles. To measure actual recorded acknowledgement delays, use our free hotel response-time calculator.
